Conscious Pilot Wins 2025 BAMMY award for Cover Band/Artist of the Year!

Conscious Pilot is pleased to accept the 2025 BAMMY award for Cover Band/Artist of the Year. The award was received on March 20, 2025 at the BAMMY Award Ceremony held at the Historic Tarlton Theater in Green Bay, WI.  Brian Gruselle, keyboardist for the band, responds, “The band is very grateful to those people who voted for us, as well as the booking agents and production companies who've helped us keep the ”machine" running and sounding/looking great! We promise to keep focused on providing music/energy from the stage that is top notch! Also, we dedicate this award to our founding Guitarist, Mark Lamar Plopper, for providing the vision which has propelled the band in the direction it has. Please continue to come and enjoy our shows this year as we are hard at work preparing new music, in keeping with that vision, which we are confident you will thoroughly enjoy!"

Conscious Pilot Announces 2 New Band Members

Conscious Pilot is proud to welcome both Kelly Klaus (Guitar) and Ross Loining (Bass) to the band! In addition to losing our Guitarist Mark Lamar Plopper to cancer in June of 2024, our Bass player for the last 7 years, Jim Denk, retired from full time playing in February of 2025.  

Kelly Klaus played 80% of shows during 2024 helping us through the loss of Mark Lamar Plopper and he did an excellent job in all respects! He admirably handled the complex guitar work involved in our song catalog despite having very little time to prepare. Many other guitarists would not have been able to pull it off like Kelly did!  Moving forward with Kelly Klaus as the Guitarist for Conscious Pilot is one of the best things to happen to the band in years!

Ross Loining will be stepping in as the band's bass player and you will not be disappointed! Ross has been playing around Wisconsin for years in a number of groups and is currently the bass player for the Multi-WAMI Award-Winning Journey tribute band “Separate Ways / The Journey Experience”.  

With Ross Loining playing bass and Kelly Klaus playing Guitar, Conscious Pilot can continue to grow it's unique catalog of hit songs that many other bands will not attempt to play due to their musical/technical requirements. Our commitment to the folks attending our live shows hasn't changed one bit:  “We ARE keeping the ‘good music’ alive and well!!” We'll do our best to keep on supplying the best music with the best energy you will find anywhere!
